Privacy Policy — LocumsLab

LocumsLab is a financial calculator tool for healthcare professionals. We keep things simple: we collect only what we need, we don't sell your data, and you're always in control.

1. Information We Collect

When you create an account, we collect:

Your email address
A hashed password (we never store your password in plain text)
Account creation date and last login timestamp
Whether you are a free or Pro subscriber

When you use the calculators, we may store:

Scenarios you choose to save (income figures, calculator inputs)
Your saved comparisons and named scenarios

We do not collect your name, address, phone number, or any payment card details directly. Payment processing is handled by Stripe (see Section 4).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

Create and manage your account
Save and retrieve your scenarios across sessions
Determine your plan status (free vs. Pro)
Send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset)
Improve the accuracy and features of LocumsLab

We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a trusted cloud database provider. All data is encrypted at rest and in transit using TLS.

Access to your data is restricted by row-level security policies — your scenarios and account information are only accessible to you when you are logged in.

While we take reasonable steps to protect your data, no system is completely secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account.

4. Payment Processing

Pro subscriptions are processed by Stripe. When you upgrade to Pro, you will be redirected to Stripe's secure checkout. LocumsLab does not store your credit card number, CVV, or billing address.

5. Cookies & Analytics

LocumsLab uses minimal cookies necessary for authentication (to keep you logged in between sessions). We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels.

We may use basic, privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate usage patterns (e.g. which calculators are most used). This data is never linked to your personal identity.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of your account and associated data
Export your saved scenarios at any time

To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@locumslab.com and we will respond within 5 business days.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data and saved scenarios will be permanently deleted within 30 days.

Anonymized, aggregate usage data (e.g. number of calculations performed) may be retained indefinitely.

8. Children's Privacy

LocumsLab is intended for adult healthcare professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If we become aware that a minor has provided us with personal data, we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will notify registered users by email.

Continued use of LocumsLab after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
